I love the third Saturday of each month. Why do you ask? It is a magic class day! I have blocked out this particular hour each month for the next two years on my Outlook calendar.
For more years than I care to remember, at two o’clock in the afternoon on the third Saturday of each month at Frankel’s Costume Store in Houston, we have a good old fashioned magic class. The course is for the young magician, the beginner, or the kid who just came along for the ride, and the dad and mom at the back of the room texting and thinking, “My, this is good stuff. I hope my Billy (or Suzie) decides to keep it up.” With all the students participating, everyone enjoys the fun, the excitement and, above all, the learning experience. Everyone goes away happy and glad they came.
As well as being fun the magic classes help teach the children so many other transferable skills. They gain confidence as they learn to do something well, that others can’t do. They learn presentation skills and how to hold others attention and they learn about timing too.
The classes are customized for the age group, and the instructions are detailed, easy-to-follow, and excellent value for the money.
About five years old I added the Bright Star Magic Classes as an add-on to my birthday programs. It is a big hit particularly for the moms who needed a longer program or had extra time at a party. The magic class can be a separate event or a combo package plan that includes a 30-minute children’s magic show. The kids are excited to take home their magic kits and show the parents the tricks they have learned. Not only do they get to see some magic, they get to learn it too. It is the same quality magic class that I provide for the summer camps.
So if you would like the children to take home more than just a party favor, my magic class add-on could be just the thing to make this a party remembered long after the birthday cake has been eaten. Click here for more details.
